  A locally designed and engineered smart hybrid Grid /Solar led street light system that can withstand the power blackouts and vandalism is already here in our capital city. The battery will light up entire city's street lighting within 3 seconds once detects of grid off.

  Any led street light has its own ID number on google map and layout whole city, real time status of each individual public lighting: Watts, Voltage, Current, Power Factor, Temperture and Failure can be control and monitoring 24hrs, as well as the power consuption from each lamp, every transformer and all city's.

  This street light was designed by STSYSTEMPLC, a global leading solar power street light manufacturer,  who has over 20 years of rich and succeessful experience on huge scale public luminaires, to survive issues that impacts street lightings ystem in captical district and other parts of the country. According to local engineer Borson of the street light was designed locally to address problems of continuous power blackouts and vandalism among others.

   Mr.Borson who is also the managing director said the Smart Hybrid Street Lighting System is designed to be monitored and remotely control via a computer software from a laptop/mobile in any location around the world.

  “This is the first of its kind in NCD(national capital district).  With the current street lighting system in NCD and other parts of the county, we do not have this system.This system is designed to avoid the problems we face in whole country and NCD with street lightings," he said.“We still have bad experience with street lighting system associated with vandalism,removing cables, solar panels,lights or poles. Currently, our streets lights are not monitored, meaning there are no systems in place that will show you which light went off and so on, Mr.Borson said.
The MD said all these issues were taken into account to design the Smart Hybrid Intelligent Street Lighting System."

  With our Smart Hybrid System we designed the system and we gave to a factory in China. It is not by a China product. The difference is that, everything is monitored. It comes with a computer program and you can control it from any where in the world," Mr.Borson added.

  He said the term hybrid meant that even when in the case of continuous blackouts, it is not a problem because there is the integrated in built power source that will keep the lights on. “Battery backup is up to12 hours. There is also schedule for the lights where you can control brightness and switching on and off--automatic switch on and off by sunset and sun rise , automatic dimming from 10% to 100% by the schedule for on-demand lighting requirement, moreover, there is also radar motion sensor network for adaptive lighting for option, which will finally make your energy maximum optimiztion.

  The GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication)Connection with 4G/5G Sim Cards makes it easier to monitor and control, also GPS functions for anti-theft, any failure lighting fixtures will be reported immeditely to the monitor center, and  showing Red color on google map, both of e-mail and SMS will be sent to the On-duty personnel" he added. Mr Borson said even in remote areas, grid-off areas are also choose this solution, the lights can be controlled and does not need power or electricity connection. There is plenty of power battery standby whole nights lighting up.
