2 WeeksSchedule sets the baseline. Motion-sensor & traffic-aware control delivers safety-first 100% when needed and ultra-low power when roads are empty.
This is where Smart LED becomes demand-based lighting: not just “time-based dimming”. When the road is empty, lights run at ultra-low power (10–20%) to preserve visibility and security. Once a vehicle/pedestrian is detected, the system boosts to 100% for safety (commonly used on highways and tunnel lighting since 2015).
Keeps baseline visibility, reduces glare, minimizes power draw in empty roads.
Instant boost for safe driving distance—especially critical in tunnels and high-speed corridors.
Simple model: during 00:01–05:00, baseline is 20%. If traffic exists, system boosts to 100% for detected minutes. This calculates an average dimming level for that segment to estimate EFLH & energy.
HPS typically runs full-output all night (no dimming). We normalize it to 12 hours.
LED watt here is the 100% brightness reference. Actual nightly energy is computed by EFLH.
Baseline EFLH (Schedule only)
—
Equivalent full-load hours from the time schedule.
EFLH with Motion Sensor (00:01–05:00 averaged)
—
Adds “100% on detection” spikes (safety-first).
Nightly Energy (Smart LED)
—
Computed from LED watts × EFLH.
Nightly Energy (HPS fixed 12h)
—
Computed from HPS watts × 12 hours.
Energy Saving vs HPS (Schedule only)
—
Pure time-based dimming impact.
Energy Saving vs HPS (Schedule + Motion)
—
Safety spikes may slightly reduce savings—but improves safety and compliance.
Note: this module intentionally does not include 600W in the ROI table to keep the page clean and decision-friendly (per your requirement).
